What’s Happening in Wisconsin:

January 28th: Tentative Date for House vote on CHD Awareness Week resolution.  Contact madisonwi@mendedlittlehearts.org if you are interested in attending the vote.  The American Heart Association has worked with Mended Little Hearts Wisconsin to make this a reality!  Thanks, Luke!  Several Mended Little Hearts members attended last year and were recognized by there local Representative.  What an incredible way to raise awareness!

The Governor has signed a proclamation for CHD Awareness Week. You can ask for your own .pdf copy by sending an email to: donna.oconnell@wi.gov

One of our members is promoting CHD awareness at her local Jump Rope for Heart where they are featuring her son.  Way to go Kelly Lee!

February 13th: Mended Little Hearts of Southern Wisconsin will be hosting a Heart Party at the American Family Children’s Hospital from 3-6pm.  Bring the entire family for food, friends and fun!

February 14th: Another member family is holding a party to raise funds for a Playroom of Hope. Matt and Jaime Wallace are hosting a party in honor of Nevaeh Rae on February 14th, 2010, 1pm – 6pm.  Please visit their online invitation for more details:

Several others are visiting the schools and local community groups to spread awareness.  Last year, the American Heart Association worked with MLH of Southern Wisconsin to create this great awareness document. You can print it or use some of the wording to create your own.

Be sure to let us know what you are doing so we can celebrate together!

We are winning the fight against Congenital Heart Defects!
